Congregational Care Communications & Technical Support Coordinating Assistant (30 hours, Exempt, Benefit Eligible)

The Congregational Care Communications & Technical Support Coordinating Assistant plays a key role in planning and supporting the weekly Care Night program and offering guidance to the Care Night Council.  Additionally this position is responsible for the development and coordination of all marketing, website maintenance, and room reservations for classes and events connected to Congregational Care ministry.  Successful candidates will have excellent communication, organizational, and relational skills with a high degree of initiative and attention to detail.  Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to learn additional software systems is a must.  If you enjoy being part of a compassionate care-giving team, this may be the position for you.  To submit your cover letter and resume, please Click Here. 

Special Needs Care Provider (15 hours, Nonexempt)

Matthew's Ministry, the church's ministry for adults and children with special needs, is looking for a Special Needs Care Provider to provide hands-on care and support for participants with special needs, ranging from autism to other physical and/or mental disabilities.  Working alongside the Sonflower Adult Learning Program Coordinator and Assistant Coordinator, support is provided for all aspects of the Sonflower Adult Learning Program which includes the Sonflower Bakery and other program activities.  This includes supervising program participants and volunteers during scheduled shifts.  Qualified candidates will have prior experience working with adults with special needs and the ability to lift heavy boxes of baking supplies.  To submit your cover letter and resume, please Click Here.

Student Ministries School Year Intern (25 hours, Nonexempt)

This position will collaborate with Student Ministries Leadership and its ministry teams located at the Leawood campus to help plan, organize and direct opportunities or experiences designed to promote spiritual development among students (sixth through twelfth grade).  Responsibilities will include assisting with leadership development, intentional discipleship, and worship.  Additionally, there will be opportunities for development of program/curriculum for study groups, student worship services and confirmation classes.  The position will work approximately 25 to 30 hours per week.  Successful candidates will be deeply committed Christians capable of effective communication with students and adults; flexible and highly motivated with strong commitment to the Christian faith and theology of The United Methodist Church.  To submit your cover letter and resume, please Click Here.

Downtown Campus

Resurrection Downtown Community Minister (40 hours, Exempt, Benefit Eligible)

The Community Minister at Resurrection Downtown is responsible for managing several aspects of this growing and vibrant church all while wearing a variety of ministerial hats. The position has primary responsibility for congregational care, caring for the members of the congregation in addition to assembling, training and managing teams of volunteers to provide excellent care for this growing community.  In addition to leading pastoral care efforts, The Community Minister assists in leading weekly worship services, teaches and leads several community groups and events, provides leadership for volunteer group leaders in conjunction with the Director of Operations and Community Life, and offers leadership for the missions team comprised largely of volunteers. The Community Minister also assists with weddings, funerals, and other pastoral functions within the life of the church.  In addition to these processes, this position steers first time visitor connections along with new member assimilation throughout the week. Successful candidates will have a MDiv. or comparable pastoral and theological experience within the local church. Downtown KiDS COR Childcare Classroom Leader (5-10 hours, Nonexempt)

Resurrection Downtown is seeking Childcare Classroom Leaders whose main focus will be investing in the spiritual lives of the children, ages 6 wks through kindergarten, participating in KiDS COR Childcare.  They will be responsible for actively engaging the children while leading activities and teaching lessons, while using personal creativity.  Being responsible, reliable, having strong communication and organization skills are all key aspects to the success of this position.  Our Ministry offers childcare multiple days a week, morning, afternoon and evening; providing an opportunity for a wide variety of hours and schedules.  Currently we are specifically looking for applicants who can work weekend evenings and Sunday mornings.
