Tutors & Classroom Buddies
Tutor with children grades K-6 at one of Resurrection's partner school locations helping students improve their reading and math skills.
When: Weekdays throughout the school year. Flexible shifts during regular school hours - serve anytime from one hour to a full day. Volunteer once or make a monthly or weekly commitment to work with a specific student or classroom.
Tutor or Reading Buddy: Assist students with reading skills, letter recognition and/or letter sounds.
Classroom Assistant: Assist teachers in classrooms and work with individuals or small groups of children; help the teacher with other needed tasks.
Lunch Buddies: Be a mentor and build self confidence with children. Enjoy lunch with a student each week while reading, visiting, or working on flashcards.
Ages: Volunteers must be 18 years and older.
Training Requirements: In order to provide a safe environment for all children, background checks and specialized trainings will be required prior to serving as a tutor. Click here to learn more and sign up for trainings to become a tutor or serve in a classroom at one or our partner schools.
