Volunteer with rezlife

rezlife believes that as a staff we are called to be in partnership with parents, volunteers and students to build a Christian community where non and nominally religious students and families are becoming deeply committed Christians.

Come check out rezlife and see how you can impact students and families now.

Sunday School

Rezlife Sunday School meets from 9:00-10:15am.  We begin in the student center with some hangout time, donuts (and of course, COFFEE for you all) musical worship and large group time each week from 9:00-9:35am.   From 9:35-10:15 students (and leaders) break out into classrooms by gender and grade.  Leaders are provided assigned curriculum with a variety of fun and engaging teaching options to teach the Biblical message and help make it personally relevant as well as relationally connect with their students. The curriculum is on-line which means prep time each week is no more than 30 minutes to an hour each week.  You don’t have to be an expert on the Bible, just the love to co-lead a group of boys or girls and help them grow in their faith.

***Our training is set for Sunday, August 16, at 9:00am!  Please consider moving up with your current class and become one of our rezlife leaders!

Confirmation Leaders

Are you someone who loves working with young people?  Helping them to find their own faith?  Being a confirmation mentor would be for you!  Confirmation meets Sundays 10:30-12:15 for 17 weeks from Sept. 27th- Feb. 28th.     You and at least one other mentor would lead a small group of students through the provided curriculum.  A mentor is not someone with all the answers but rather someone who wants to help students find their own.  More information and scheduling can be found at www.cor.org/confirmation or contact teri.chalker@cor.org

MAC Track

Ministry As Career Track is a ministry designed to encourage students to explore calling, a call to follow Christ, a call into ministry to the world and the possibility of a call into vocational ministry.  This ministry meets the first Sunday of the month from 12:15 -2:00 to hear speakers, fellowship, and learn or for an experiential type activity, for example visiting a synagogue, going on a retreat, serving in ministry, attending a conference or a variety of other experiences.  The experiential activities can be at alternate times and are published in the fall for the school year.  Adults serving in this ministry area will have the opportunity to help with many aspects of the ministry including attending the gatherings and experiential activities, working with the students, and supporting the ministry in the areas of technical needs or organizational needs.

Mission Volunteers

rezlife offers a variety of mission experiences for students including mission trips into Kansas City, domestic trips to destinations such as Dallas, Chicago, Denver and also international trips to destinations such as Honduras, Jamaica and South Africa.  Adults attending these trips will work beside students in missions, mentor students as they process the mission experience, and come beside the staff to implement the mission trip.  These trips are currently offered during the summer months.
